Go to page 131 in your textbook.  Read the SECOND paragraph in the blue box.  Using pencil and paper, write a translation of the paragraph.

Someone in 5th period just asked for an explanation of the instructions for page 138, part 3. Here is my response:
There are six question words listed. Each one will be used, and one will be used twice. In each sentence, there is a word in italics. That is the word that will help you decide how to write the question. For example, in number one, the italicized word is “hoy”. So you will need to ask a “when” question. Number two’s italicized word is “a la papelería,” so you will need to ask a “to where” question.

  1. Copy the focus words off the board.
  2. Copy these sentences and translate.
    1. Today is Thursday.
    2. Yesterday was Wednesday.
    3. Tomorrow will be Friday.

    5. The year has twelve months.
    6. The dog wears four shoes.
    7. This is not my dog.
    8. My dog doesn’t wear a cap.
    9. On Fridays, the teacher wears jeans.
